Göksun
Göksun is a district located 76 km from Kahramanmaraş city center. Its total population is 52,136 (including neighborhoods and towns), and its surface area is 1920 km². In 1908, it was connected to the province of Kahramanmaraş. The district municipality was established in 1908. There are 51 neighborhoods and 7 towns in total in the district. (With Kahramanmaraş becoming a metropolitan city in 2012, the legal entities of the villages ended and the villages turned into neighborhoods.) The old names of the district: Kokusus, Cocussus, Kokson, Köksen, Köksün, Göksün. There are sawmills because it is in the forest area. There is Dibek Mountain in the west and Binboğa Mountains in the north. The main agricultural products are wheat, sugar beet, beans, chickpeas, apples and grapes. Göksun apple is famous for its unique aroma.
