Gölhisar
Gölhisar is the second largest district of Burdur province. It is also called the Land of the Highlands.
It is the district where agriculture is most effective. Beets, anise, cereals, vegetables and fruits are grown. Recently, greenhouse cultivation has become widespread. Summer vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers are grown in the greenhouse. Gölhisar Plain is a sedimentary plain and is irrigated by the waters of Yapraklı Dam established on Dalaman Stream. Dalaman tea originates from these lands. The district with a population of 20,000 has a historical ancient city called Kibyra. The region hosts the most important music and folklore cultures of the Teke region.
