Gölyaka

Gölyaka is the district of Düzce. Because it was built around Lake Efteni, it was called Gölyaka and it is surrounded by mountains. It is 200 km from Istanbul and 250 km from Ankara. The majority of the population lives on agriculture. Cattle and small cattle breeding and hazelnuts are the most important sources of income. Apart from this, textile factories also contribute to the economy of the district, although they are small in scale.
