Hacılar

The dynasties that founded the village of Hacılar came here in the 15th century from Hacılar village and its surroundings in Kozan district of Adana. The people of Hacilar first settled in the "Dört Kuyular" area of the Begendik neighborhood within the borders of the district between 1411-1500, and then left the Dört Kuyular location where they settled in 1726 as a result of the pressures of the Avşars, who established great influence in the Kayseri region, and settled in the current location. Administratively, Hacılar, which was affiliated to Kayseri Central District and then Melikgazi district, became a district as of 09.09.1991 with the Law No. 3647 published in the Official Gazette dated 18.05.1990.
