Hadim
Hadim is one of the 31 districts of Konya province. It is surrounded by Tashkent in the south, Bozkır in the north, Karaman in the east and Antalya in the west.
While Hadim was a village of Aladağ District in the 16th and 17th centuries, it started to develop from the 18th century. This development process started with Abu Sa'id Muhammad al-Hâdimi. Hadimi's deep knowledge and fame enabled him to make friends among statesmen in the Ottoman palace. A library was also built for Hadim by Şehdî Osman Efendi. Hadim became a district center connected to Konya Sanjak after 1850s. In 1881, Aladağ District was separated from Hadim and connected to Karaman. It became the district center in 1926.
