Hisarcık

The history of the district with its archaeological remains dates back to the Roman period. After the victory of Manzikert, he joined the borders of the Great Seljuk State together with Kütahya. In 1096, when the Crusade began, it came under Byzantine rule again. It joined the territory of the Anatolian Seljuk State in 1180 after the battle of Miryekefalon in 1176. It passed into the Germiyanoğulları period in the 13th century. During the Germiyanoğulları period, Hisarcık was connected to the Eğrigöz District of Kütahya. As a result of the marriage of Devlet Hatun, daughter of Germiyanoğlu Süleyman Şah to Şehzade Bayezid, Simav, Eğrigöz and Tavşanlı and Kütahya were distributed to the Ottomans as a dowry and joined the Ottoman administration in Hisarcık in 1378. After the Ankara War, Timur re-established the Germiyanoğulları Principality along with other Anatolian Principalities, and Hisarcık rejoined the Germiyan Principality lands. Germiyanoglu II. Yakup Bey's study of the son of a son in 1429, the entire Germiyan Principality II. With his will to Murad, it came under Ottoman rule again. Hisarcık village, which was attached to the Eğrigöz District in the 19th century, was attached to the Simav Kadılık in 1817 after the Nasuhoğulları Revolt, which was a voivode in the Eğrigöz, Simav and Gediz regions. In 1845, the population reached 1000 people. In the Hüdâvendigar Province Yearbook dated 1870, it is seen as affiliated to the Eğrigöz District. During the Republican period, Hisarcık was affiliated to the Emet district of Kütahya. With the opening of the Bor mine, which emerged as a result of the examinations of the German delegation who came to the region in 1958, its settlement developed rapidly. The settlement, which was a town in 1967, became a district in 1987 with the law numbered 3392.
