Kandıra
Kandıra is the district of Kocaeli and is located in the north of Kocaeli Peninsula. It has had a municipality since Ottoman rule. Kandıra is the only district of Kocaeli whose industry is not developed. There is Kandıra F Type Prison between İzmit and Kandıra. In addition, some of the people of Kandıra go to Izmit to work.
