Karamanlı
It is understood from the historical traces in the region that Karamanlı district is a very old settlement. Karamanlı is located on the slopes of Ardıçlıtepe and dominates the Karamanlı plain. It is known that the region, which has traces of settlement from the Near Stone Age, was under the rule of Persians, Etiler and Greeks between 800-500 BC. In the years following the Turkish lord Alparslan's entry into Anatolia with the Battle of Manzikert in 1071, the Turks completely dominated the region and it has come to this day. With the entry of the Turks into Anatolia, the first regular administration in the region was established by the Anatolian Seljuk State, and in 1282, it was under the administration of the Karamanoğulları principality, which stretched from Hatay to Muğla. It is certain that Karamanlı was under the administration of the principality in those years, due to what is known about the death of Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey by poisoning in Gölhisar.
