Kepsut
Kepsut was established on an area 85 meters above sea level in the east of Balıkesir; It looks like a peninsula surrounded on three sides by Değirmencik, Kille and Simav Streams on the Balıkesir-Dursunbey highway. Balıkesir-Kütahya railway passes through the south of the district. Kepsut is 27 km from Balikesir. In 1953, Balıkesir was separated from its location as a sub-district of the center and gained the status of a district.
