Kırkağaç
Kırkağaç is one of the districts of Manisa province in the Aegean Region of Turkey. It is one of the small districts of Manisa. Its population is around 38,000. It was founded on the plain and the foothills of Yund Mountain, which is named after him. Although there is no clear information about the history of the district, it is predicted that the first settlement was based on the Mysians in the Ancient Greek period. The district, which was affiliated to the Karesi Principality during the Principalities period, later came under the Ottoman protectorate.
With the Population Exchange, which took place after the proclamation of the Republic, the exchanges from Greece were settled in the city. In particular, the villages of Lesbos, Esirli, Paliohor, Dranova of the Pravişte district of Drama and the Paprat refugees from Thessaloniki Avrethisar were settled in Kırkağaç.
