Köprübaşı

It is understood from the signs of human life in the caves around the district that they lived in the copper and bronze ages around the district. According to some historians, it is accepted that Etiler ruled around Köprübaşı. Later, the region remained under the rule of Lydia, Persia, Pergamon Kingdom and Saruhanoğulları. After the 1071 Malazgirt Victory, it came under the rule of the Turks from 1074. After 131O, it came under the rule of Anatolian Principalities. Saruhanoğlu Çuha Bey, after his death, his son Devlethan, and after his death Yakup Çelebi became the ruler of the region. After the domination of Saruhanoğulları ended in 1412, it remained under Ottoman rule until 1920. Köprübaşı, which became a municipality in 1967, started its activities as a district on August 25, 1991, with the law on the establishment of 130 districts with the number 3644 published in the Official Gazette dated 20 May 1990 and numbered 20523.
