Kozlu

Kozlu is a district of Turkey's Zonguldak province. It became a district as a result of the law numbered 6360, which was accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 12 November 2012. The total population of the district, which has coal beds, is 46,661 according to the 2020 census. All quarters of the district, whose center was established at sea level, are located in mountainous areas. Preparatory classes belonging to Bülent Ecevit University are located in this district as İncirharmanı Campus. Kozlu, which was once a mining town with a population of around 60,000, has been rapidly emigrated after the Turkish Hard Coal Corporation has shrunk. Kozlu district is 5 km from Zonguldak city center.
