Kurucaşile

Kurucaşile is one of the 3 districts of Bartın province together with Amasra and Ulus. It is a town on the Black Sea coast, 52 km from the city center of Bartın.

Pala and Kaşkas lived in the region first during the Hittite period, and later Phoenicians, Carians and Achaeans. In 306 BC, the Kromna civilization is located in Tekkeönü, which is about 8 km away from Kurucaşile district center. Kromna is an ancient city established on the shores of the Black Sea, in the Paphlagonia region of Anatolia.
