Lalapaşa
There is Bulgaria in the north and west of the district, Süloğlu district in the east and Edirne central district in the south. The area of the district is 536,788 decares and its altitude is 72 m. Although the district land is generally flat, the Balkan (border) sections are rough. There are sharp toothed granites formed by erosion on the upper parts of the hills. The streams fed by the winter rains pour into the Tunca River. Although there are many brooks in the district, it does not have an important stream. The district climate is typically continental. Annual precipitation in the district is 350-450 mm. The district is also a border region. 55,455 meters of Turkey's border with Bulgaria is in the Lalapaşa region. Edirne-Lalapaşa-Hamzabeyli border state road passes through the district borders.
