Narman
Narman is a district of Erzurum province. There are 45 neighborhoods in Norman. Aşık Sümmani, who left his mark on Turkish Folk Literature with his works, is Narmanlı. Narman district is located in the northeast of Erzurum province at the intersection of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia Regions. It is surrounded by Sarıkamış in the east, Tortum in the west, Oltu in the north, Horasan Köprüköy and Pasinler districts in the south. Narman district is 90 km away from Erzurum. In its historical course, Narman was called "Namurvan - Namervan" when it was under Byzantine rule. Narman Fairy Chimneys and Narman Five Lakes in the district are the most important natural beauties of the district. Since the district is located between high mountains, its climate is quite warm compared to Erzurum. Frost events are not seen very often. The summers are hot and dry. Precipitation usually occurs in the spring months. Since the district is located in the Eastern Black Sea Region, the effects of the Black Sea climate are observed.
