Ovacık
district is 65 km away from Tunceli city center and is surrounded by Erzincan
province in the north, Pülümür in the east and Hozat in the south, Erzincan
province and Çemişgezek district in the west. It is 1300 meters above sea level
and its highest point is 3071 meters. The most important stream is Munzur
Stream. In terms of climate, the winters are cold and snowy, and the summers
are cool.
