Pamukkale
Pamukkale, formerly Akköy, is Denizli's most populated district. Its name was changed with the law numbered 6360, which was accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 12 November 2012. It consists of 61 neighborhoods.[2] Pamukkale (Hierapolis) travertines, which have been considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988, are in this district.
