Pazar
Pazar is a district of Tokat province. Kazova region was on the King's Road in ancient times and was called Dazimonitis. Although the location of Kazabad Township, the most important settlement of the region, is not known exactly, Pazar, which is said to be very close to here, was called İnepazarı until 1520, and after this date it was named Ezine Pazarı. In Evliya Çelebi's Travel Book written in the 17th century, it was mentioned as Old Aynapazarı. Market, which was also known by its old names during this period, gained its final name in 1903. The region, which came under the rule of Seljuk I with Melikşah I in 1073, changed hands between various principalities and came under Ottoman rule in 1399. While it was a sub-district center of the Turhal district before, it became a town on 28 July 1956 by taking the status of a municipality. Pazar gained the status of a district with the law published in the Official Gazette dated 04.07.1987 and numbered 19507.
