Pınarhisar
Pınarhisar is a district of Kırklareli province. Pınarhisar, which was taken from the Byzantines by Gazi Mihal in 1368 during the reign of Murad I, is one of the historical cities of Kırklareli. It was occupied by the Russians in the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War, and a large part of the Balkan War took place here. It was occupied by the Bulgarians in 1912 and was taken back on 23 July 1913. After the First World War, it was occupied by the Greeks and was taken back on 8 November 1922. In 1911, the district became a district again in 1915, and in 1953, during the time of the mayor Ali Özer, it turned into the status of today's district. It is famous for its cold and hot running water sources in history. It became a municipality in 1909. The first mayor is Mehmet Ağa. Over time, it became the center of the district and parish. Former Libyan President Sadullah Koloğlu was the district governor here in 1913. Today, the historical Sadullah Koloğlu Primary School in the district center was built in his time. There are cement and lime factories in the district center. The county has Kaynarca and Yenice Town Municipalities. Kaynarca was known for its cold and hot water springs in the past. It is said that the best quality rice is grown in Kaynarca Plain, and it is known that people have lived here since the Hellenes.
