Şalpazarı
is a district of Trabzon. It is 69 km away from Trabzon. In the Black Sea Region under the rule of the Ottoman Empire, it was included in the Görele District, which was affiliated to Trabzon at that time, but in 1798 it was connected to the Vakfıkebir District. A very important part of its people consists of Turkmen/Chepni.
