Seben

Seben is a town located 56 km south of Bolu. It is famous for its apples. According to a rumor, the district got its name from the Seben Mountain in the north. It is thought that the semen flower that grows in the forest gave the district its name.

There are a total of 29 villages in the district, 2 of which are in the mountains, 1 in the lake, 4 in the forest, and 23 in the valley and plain.

It is surrounded by plateaus with an average height of 1400 m, gathered around the Kiraz Mountain. The most important of these plateaus are Gerenözü and Kızık plateaus. The houses of Kızık Plateau attract attention with their different architectures. These houses are made of pine trees, without the use of nails, with frames, plug-in and plug-in. These houses have different features with their high stairs from the ground, wide hearths and unique furniture.
