Serinhisar

Serinhisar is a district of Denizli Province.

It is located at the 35th kilometer of the Denizli-Antalya highway, to the north of the Karaağaç Plain. Its neighbors are Acıpayam, Tavas, Honaz and Denizli.

Kızılhisar, which was a town affiliated to Acıpayam district until 1988, became a district on this date and its name was changed to Serinhisar. Before the metropolitan municipality was established, it had a town and three villages.

There are many business lines in the district. But the most important of them is roasted chickpeas and food. Agriculture and trade are also important sources of income. It has reached an important point in exports, especially with the sale of roasted chickpeas to Middle Eastern countries. In the past, pottery and rope making are losing their importance day by day.
