Simav
It is located in the Inner West part of the Aegean Region. There are the Simav Mountains, which extend in an east-west direction between the towns of Simav in the north and Demirci in the south, with a height of 1,800 m.
Simav plain is a plain of tectonic origin limited by faults. Simav Mountains, where crystalline rocks have a large area, rise in the south, and Katrancı and Akdağ masses, which are outcropped by crystalline rocks and granite plutons, rise in the north. The bottom of the plain, which is a triangular depression at an altitude of 820 m, is covered with alluvium. The shallow Simav lake in the middle dried up. It is a 1st degree earthquake zone.
