Sivrihisar
Sivrihisar is the largest district of Eskişehir. After a while, Osman Bey, together with Sivrihisar, gave the administration of the whole Eskişehir environment to his brother Gündüz Bey. One of the most important works in the district is the Ulu Mosque in the city center. Built in 1275 by Eminiddin-i Mikail, one of Mevlana's disciples, the building is one of the largest wooden pillared mosques in Anatolia. Its roof is supported by 67 wooden columns. Its pulpit, which consists of a harmonious combination of various geometric shapes, is described as a masterpiece of art.
