Söğüt
Söğüt is a district of Bilecik Province. It is known as the first capital of the Ottoman Principality. While it was named Thebasion in 1231, it was taken from the Iznik Empire by the Anatolian Seljuk commander Ertuğrul Gazi and was given the name of Anatolian Seljuk ruler III. It was given by Alaeddin Keykubad with Domaniç. In 1648, the Anatolian province was connected to the Lefke (today Osmaneli) district of the Bursa sanjak. Later, it joined the borders of Ertuğrul sanjak, whose center was Bilecik, which was connected to the Anatolian state. The last one was the accident connected to the Ertuğrul sanjak of the Hüdavendigar province. It was invaded by the Greeks three times during the War of Independence and survived the occupation on September 6, 1922. At the entrance of the Kızılsaray village of the district, there is a Greek outpost with both Ottoman and Greek inscriptions, and this station is in ruins.
