Solhan

Solhan took this name because he stayed under the management of a brain named "Beglon" in a place called Mezgeft, 2 km west of the district. Over time the word was changed to Boglon and renamed Solhan in 1932.

Although there is no definite information about the history of Solhan and its region, it is known that the settlement in this region dates back to the Hittites.

The area of the district is 1114 km². The ratio of this to the whole province is 13.71%. The altitude of the district above sea level is 1395 meters. Its distance from the city center is 60 km. Yüzenada, which is a natural wonder, is within the borders of this district.

There are 2 municipalities and 27 villages in the district. The number of village subdistricts (mezra) is 133. There are 7 neighborhood headmen within the boundaries of the municipality. 4 of them are within the borders of the district municipality and 3 of them are within the borders of Arakonak Municipality.
