Süloğlu
Süloğlu is a district located in the northeast of Edirne province and bordering the province of Kırklareli. After the Turkish War of Independence, it joined Turkish territory on November 22, 1922, according to the provisions of the Mudanya Armistice. Süloğlu, which was a village connected to the center of Edirne in the first years of the Republic, became a township in 1934 and a municipality in 1967. It became a district in 1991. The area of the district is 256 km2. It is surrounded by Havsa in the south, Kırklareli in the east, Lalapaşa in the north and Edirne in the west. It has a wavy terrain. Its main elevations are Tavşan Tepe, Fakir Tepe, Yatsı Tepe and Kamber Tepe. Its rivers are Süloğlu Stream and Geçkinli Stream. Its main ponds are Süloğlu Dam, Keramaettin Sülecik and Geçkinli ponds. The continental climate prevails. Generally, dry farming is done more. The main agricultural products are cereals, sunflower and corn. Dairy farming is done mostly as cattle breeding in the district, sheep are raised from small cattle, and beekeeping has started to develop.
