Susuz

Susuz is a district of Kars province.

Susuz, which was a sub-district of the central district of Kars after the proclamation of the Republic, was made a district in 1959. One of the first sub-district managers of the district is the father of writer Server Tanilli.

In fact, there is a stream passing through the center of the district and there are fountains. When the people of the district came from the Caucasus, they settled in the Ruins area on the cemetery where there was no water, and they had to get the water from the district center. For this reason, the name of the district was changed to Susuz. The people settled in the center of the district when the Malakans (Belarusian) migrated. Contrary to its name, Susuz District is famous for its green and wet meadows.
