Taraklı
Taraklı is a town located in the southeast of Sakarya province. While it was a town of Geyve district, it became a district on 27 June 1987. In terms of its location, it is a district located 28 km from the Göynük district of Bolu in the east, 34 km from the Geyve district in the west, and 30 km from the Gölpazarı district of Bilecik in the south. In 1289, the Seljuk Dynasty came. Taraklı district is one of the districts with the title of Calm City, of which there are 11 in Turkey as of 2016. The Cittaslow movement came to Turkey in 2009 with the participation of Seferihisar district. Tunç Soyer, Seferihisar Mayor, Cittaslow International Vice President, Cittaslow Turkey Coordinator, pioneered the development of the Cittaslow movement in Turkey, and the district of Seferihisar in Izmir became the 129th quiet city in the world and the first quiet city in Turkey. While this membership is a new opportunity for the promotion of Turkey, it is an important step for the development of the districts that have received the title of calm cities and for the preservation of cultural and historical values. In a short period of 7 years, from 2009 to 2016, the number of members of the calm city movement in Turkey increased to 11 with the participation of Uzundere District of Erzurum Province in March 2016. Its only connection with the surrounding is by road and it is on the Istanbul Adapazarı, Beypazarı, Ankara transit road. The nearest railway passes 37 km east of Ali Fuat Paşa.
