Ürgüp
Ürgüp is a district 20 km east of Nevşehir province and is one of the important centers of the Cappadocia region. As in Göreme, it has had many names in the historical process. Osiana (Assiana), Hagios Prokopios (Prokopi) in the Byzantine period; Başhisar during the Seljuk Dynasty; Burgut castle during the Ottoman period; It has been known as Ürgüp since the first years of the Republic.
