Yakakent
Yakakent is a district of Samsun province. While it became a municipality in 1963, it became a town until 1991 and then a district. On the same date, the name Gümenüz changed into Yakakent. Although fishing and tobacco are the main economic factors, thousands of tourists leave significant money to the district during the summer seasons.
