Yedisu

The district has a 250-year history. It is seen that it took its place in the administrative division as Çerme village until 1951, and after 1951 as Çerme Subdistrict of Kiğı district. It was named Yedisu because of the fountain built in the center of Çerme in 1970 and consisting of seven taps.

The area of the district is 426 km2. Its ratio to the provincial area is 5.24 percent. The height of the district center above sea level is 1500 meters. Its distance from the city center is 124 km.

The district has one municipality, 13 villages and 64 hamlets. The number of neighborhood headmen within the boundaries of the municipality is five.
