Yenişehir
Yenişehir is a district of Bursa province. It is in the east of Bursa and its distance from Bursa city center is 52 km. Bursa's international airport is within the borders of Yenişehir. That's why the airport is called "Yenişehir Airport".
Although the economy of the district is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, it started to industrialize with YOSAB (Yenişehir Organized Industrial Zone) established by Yenişehir Municipality in 2004. It is the first district of Bursa, especially in the export of agricultural products. Tomato and pepper cultivation is world famous.
The temperate Marmara climate is seen in the region.
It is close to Inegol and Iznik.Yenişehir is bordered by Kestel in the west, İnegöl in the south, İznik in the north, Orhangazi in the northwest and Bilecik in the east. The total population of the district is 54,315.
