Yozgat

Yozgat, formerly known as Bozok, is the center of Yozgat province. Yozgat is located in the center of Central Anatolia, 217 kilometers from the capital Ankara. Yozgat city center has a population of 108,024 as of 2021.

In the region, which is thought to be one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia, artifacts dating back to 3000 BC were found in the excavations made in Alişar Mound. It is known that it was one of the settlement centers of the Hittites.
