Gölyazı
Gölyazı is a neighborhood in Nilüfer district of Bursa province.
Gölyazı, which is 7 km inland after turning south at the 35th kilometer of the Bursa-İzmir highway, is built on a small peninsula consisting of two low hills on the shores of Uluabat Lake. On one of the hills, the necropolis ruins of the ancient city of Apollonia, named after the Greek god Apollo; The second hill becomes an island when the lake rises and is reached by a long, narrow stone bridge.
Today, most of the people of Gölyazı live in historical Greek houses with brick walls on the island. Today, their livelihoods are agriculture, fishing and tourism.
