Kakava Festival
It is held on May 05-06 of each year. Kakava, the reflection of Hıdrellez in the Romans, is considered to be one of the most important days celebrated by making great preparations for a year. Hıdrellez and Kakava Festivals, which are considered to be the harbingers of spring in Edirne, are celebrated in two separate venues on May 5-6; Concerts, competitions and dance performances take place on Saraçlar Street, while other events take place in Sarayiçi, where Kırkpınar Wrestling is also held.
