Kartepe Cable Car
Kartepe Cable Car Line, the half-century-old dream of Kocaeli, was completed and put into service. The line, which starts from Derbent Station and is 4.7 km long, ends at Kuzuyayla Nature Park. The cable car line is 9 thousand 736 meters long in total and 16 poles ranging in height from 32 to 45 meters were used. In this respect, it is the cable car line with the highest masts in Turkey. Unlike other cable car projects in Turkey, the Kartepe Cable Car has 73 cabins for 10 people each, passing over the trees, not through them, during the 14-minute journey between Derbent and Kuzuyayla.
