Mountain Climbing
According to the records, Marco Polo's first climb to Mount Ararat, which he said "will never be climbed" and mentioned in the holy books, was carried out by Prof. Frederik Von Parat did it.
The summit of Mount Ararat is at an altitude of 5137, and the mountain rises in Eastern Anatolia, close to the Iranian borders. The best time for climbing is July, August and September. Winter climbs are challenging but enjoyable. Climbing Mount Ararat alone in winter is one of the biggest goals for all mountaineers.
