Go-Kart or Karting is known as the infrastructure of almost all motorsports, as well as being the smallest branch of open-wheel motorsports. It is usually raced on scaled-down tracks. Kart racing is generally considered the most economical form of motorsport. The sport, which can be done by almost anyone as a hobby, can be practiced under the FIA ​​rules from the age of 8 onwards.

There are many types of cards with varying speeds. The fastest ones are the models that can reach 250km/h, known as superkart. In general, the models that people rent and use for entertainment reach a speed of 50-60 kilometers. Known as the pinnacle of kart racing, a KF1 kart weighs around 150kg (with driver) with its 125cc 2-stroke engine and can accelerate to 140km/h.

Art Ingels is considered the father of this sport. Kurtis Kraft, the first racing card maker, made the first card in 1956 in Southern California. Karting quickly spread to other countries and became appealing to many people in Europe.Typical forms of competition; Speed ​​racing (Sprint), Endurance and track racing (speedway) are.

Sprint races: It is held on roads with left and right bends similar to a karting track. The length between 400 meters and 1600 meters is sufficient. Sprint races are races of relatively short duration (like 15 minutes). It is usually done in the form of 3 qualifying races and a final race. At the end of the sessions, according to the determined scores, the winner is revealed.
