Başkonuş Plateau
Başkonuş Plateau is a natural wonder plateau that contains many endemic plants, especially hyacinths and salep, and is frequented by migratory birds. Composed of fir, cedar, oak and juniper trees, the forest preserves its natural structure with its colorful flowers and endemic plants, and is also home to deer and birds.
Başkonuş Plateau was established as a deer breeding station in 1987, and after many years the deer were released to nature. The probability of encountering deer groups during forest walks is very high.
The altitude of the accommodation area is around 1325m. The oxygen produced by Juniper, Cedar and Fir trees creates a healthy environment. It welcomes tourists with its different beauties in summer and winter months. The entrance part of the plateau is arranged as a type A recreation area. Within the boundaries of this area, there are a country restaurant, bungalow forest houses, sports fields, tent camping area, caravan camping area, picnic areas, children's playgrounds and walking paths. In the country restaurant, organic food is given importance and an organic nutrition environment is provided with goat butter, special honey and village eggs.
