Bozok Plateau
The region where Yozgat lands are located is called “Bozok Plateau”. The plateau within the Kızılırmak arc consists of slightly undulating plains, split by valleys reaching the Delice River and Çorum Water. Bozok Plateau rests on Akdağlar in the east. In the northeast, the westward branches of Deveci Mountain disappear among the plains. In the southwest, low mountains appear again towards Kırşehir. Among these, the altitude of Bozok Plateau is between 1200-1400 meters. The plateau, which descends towards the northwest, extends below 800 meters towards the Kızılırmak floor plain. Cehirlik Plateau, Kadıpınarı, Şebekpınarı, Yahyasaray (Sırıklı) Plateau and Hisarbeyli Plateau, which is famous for its yogurt, are the important plateaus of Yozgat.
