Dikmen Plateau and Campground
Dikmen Plateau is a plateau within the borders of Sakarya province, Hendek district. Hendek is 36 km from the center, 1:30 hours away. It is located 6 km away from Dikmen Village, on the lower side of Dikmen Hill (1725 m), the highest point of Sakarya. It measures 7882 m² (0.79 ha). It offers the opportunity to cruise with its hill height at the top of the plateau. A mawlid dinner is given to the martyr who is at the summit in August. A traditional plateau festival is held in June. The 110th festival was held in 2018. It can be reached from the route of Hendek, Karadere and Dikmen villages. Tent camping can be done in the village, which has electricity.
It is not possible to go to the plateau, which is at the intersection of Bolu-Düzce provincial borders, by public transport. Private car owners should also be aware that part of the road is not very good. Get your food and beverage needs before you even arrive at the campsite.
