Harmantepe Plateau
Harmantepe Plateau is a plateau located 26 kilometers from the Sürmene district of Trabzon province. Covering an area of 618 square kilometers, the plateau is 9 kilometers away from the nearest administrative unit, the Yazıoba (Oviya) neighborhood. The plateau is used for livestock farming. Every year on June 29, memorial ceremonies are held at the plateau's martyrs' cemetery to commemorate the soldiers who lost their lives while fighting the Russian army on the plateau.
