Kadırga Plateau Open Air Mosque
According to written sources, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, who annexed the region to the Ottoman lands in 1461, went to Kadırga Plateau to visit the grave of a friend. The area determined by the Sultan, who wanted to perform the Friday prayer in the plateau, was surrounded by stones and the Friday prayer was performed in this area. This open-air prayer area has been visited by local people for many years on the third Friday of July and Friday prayers are performed in this area. Today, two minarets were built in the area surrounded by a low wall, and this tradition is still continued.
