Mount Artos
Mount Artos or Çadır Mountain is an extinct volcano located at an altitude of 3,550 meters within the borders of the Gevaş district of Van.The mountain, which is a continuation of the Southeastern Taurus Mountains, is also called Çadır Mountain due to its appearance.Although it has lost most of its natural animal life due to excessive hunting, animals such as bears, rabbits, partridges and wolves still live there. There is a lead ore on the mountain.Artos, one of the most important places in the world in terms of butterfly species, is also a favorite of mountain climbers.
