Located on the Amanos Mountains, Zorkun Plateau is the largest plateau of the Çukurova Region and Osmaniye.
Zorkun Plateau Altitude
The plateau in pine, cedar and fir trees is at an altitude of 1650 meters and its population reaches up to 80 thousand in the summer season.
There are no accommodation facilities in Zorkun Plateau, which is built in a forested area, but there are camping areas and social facilities. In addition to wooden plateau houses, it is possible to come across villas and other houses built in a very different architectural style. There are grocery stores, country cafes and restaurants, butcher, greengrocer and bakery in the plateau, which is intensely popular with the people, and a mobile health center and gendarmerie station are on duty during the summer months.
