1000 Year Old Chestnut Tree
The tree, which is located in the Kumarı village of the center of Kütahya, has witnessed many civilizations in history and is estimated to be 1000 years old, has the title of the oldest chestnut tree in Turkey. The tree, which was registered as a "monumental tree" in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets on September 7, 1995, has a diameter of 8 meters and a height of 25 meters. According to the researches, two chestnut trees located near the 1000-year-old tree, which was determined to be "Turkey's oldest chestnut tree", were also registered on the same date.
