Adana Girls High School

It is located on Debboy Street in Seyhan district, on the banks of the Seyhan River, to the south of the Stone Bridge. It was built as a Military Secondary School (military secondary school) between 1881 and 1883 by the Governor of Adana Abidin Pasha during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid. In 1885, the high school section was added and it was named Adana Civil High School. In 1908, the name of the school was changed to Mekteb-i Sultani. In 1923, the school was renamed Adana High School. It served as a boarding girls' high school from 1934 to 1998. The building, which was restored in 2005 - 2006, was put into service as the Culture and Art Center.
