Adilceviz Kef Castle

Adilcevaz district of Bitlis Province is on the northwest shore of Lake Van. Actually, the fortified city, which is an Urartian castle and called "Kef Castle", is 6 km from Adilcevaz. It was built on a volcanic hill to the north. Three sides of this natural hill, east, south and west directions are very steep and steep. It is almost impossible to go above these aspects. The castle can only be approached from the north. In the Urartian period, the castle gate was probably located in this direction. The highest point of the Kcf Castle is on the rock at the west-south end. The height of this point is 2270 m from the sea .
