Afyonkarahisar Paşa Mosque
The 478-year-old Umur Bey At Pazarı Mosque, which was destroyed in 1933 in Afyonkarahisar, was rebuilt and opened to worship on May 29, 2020, with the name Pasha Mosque, and was born from its ashes. Inspired by Afyonkarahisar Grand Mosque, Sivrihisar Ulu Mosque and Beyşehir Eşref Paşa Mosque, the mosque was completed in accordance with Seljuk architecture and draws attention with its 62 wooden pillars made of cedar trees, porticos, cut stone cladding and lead roof. Pasha Mosque, which was built on an area of 30 thousand square meters, turned into a place where 1500 people could worship at the same time.
